Hello there everybody! I haven't really been active on the forum, but I want to get more involved! To start off, what are your interests (Music, activities, etc.)?

My real name is Alex, and I am a student in High School. I usually study pretty hard, and I am in my school's Computer Science club(video game and website programming), Linguistic club, Science Olympiad team, and Marching Band! I am learning to program in my freetime(though I have slacked off a bit on that), and I also enjoy playing the Clarinet and learning the Violin, even though I sincerely suck at the Violin as of right now.. I play a lot of video games with my friends, both in real life and across the magical world of the internet. I first found Sinuyan in early January of this year, and I really enjoy his videos and fanbase. I watch a few animes and the such, and I enjoy listening to Techno and Trance music, Classical music, and also some of the more "nostalgic" tracks from older video games.

I have no clue whether or not this topic has already been posted, but feel free to post a bit about yourself below! :3

Hello there!

I am a college student and majoring in Computer Science! What language are you learning to program in?

I play guitar, and I'm alright I suppose. I much prefer to write music rather than play it, although I play on my guitar to get ideas while I'm writing.

I'm actually in my schools anime club. I listen to a lot of different kinds of music, usually more rock and metal, but some electronic music is pretty awesome too.

I am learning to mainly program in AS3, which is pretty related to JAVA in some perspectives. It is interesting to learn for starters, and can be used for a lot of interesting things!

Guitar is a pretty cool instrument, and would be fun to play. Though I use my Clarinet usually for my school's band and such, I sometimes enjoy trying to learn to play some videogame music with it just for the heck of it. Though I don't really listen to rock and metal and such, it's not bad at all!

Hahaha I don't think it's a big deal xD I never heard of AS3, but I've done a little bit in Java. I'm most comfortable with C++, which isn't too different from Java. Also, I just learned a little bit of html.

I plan on learning C++ after I get good at AS3, and html seems like it would be interesting to learn some day as well.

In my opinion, C++ is the easiest of them all. I really never had any problems, until object oriented programming... It's not hard to do, but when you go to debug... ugh the headaches...

Oh, and I literally just learned html last week lol just going based on some notes, I was able to do that part of my final exam without the slightest headache, this is what I made so far: http://voyager.cs.bgsu.edu/cs3010jl/cs3 ... al_04.html

And yeah, I pretty much learned that the best way to go about debugging is to actually test the program to make sure it's still working after every little edit you do. It is annoying and time consuming, but not as annoying and time consuming as staring at pages and pages and pages and AND OH MAH GOD pages of code to finally figure out that you just misspelled a variable xD
